Speed Training
Speed training involves various exercises aimed at helping athletes develop explosive power in the lower body. This is to boost athletic performance, speed training programs include exercises designed to improve acceleration, deceleration, quickness, and change of direction.
Strength Training
Athletes perform heavy compound lifts like squats, deadlifts, and Olympic lifts to build overall body strength. They also do accessory exercises targeting specific muscle groups. Plyometrics: Explosive exercises like box jumps, hurdle hops, and depth jumps help develop power and reactivity.
Agility Training
Agility is the ability to rapidly change body direction, accelerate, or decelerate. It is influenced by balance, strength, coordination. Agility can be improved by first developing an adequate base of strength and conditioning that is appropriate for the difficulty level of the athlete.
